Likely yes.: If they gave you antibiotics for puss on your tonsils, you probably have strep. You are contagious until you've completed 24 hours worth of antibiotics. If you are still having fevers (which shouldn't happen after a few days of antibiotics), you are still contagious and you should be seeing your doctor again for a recheck.
