Birth control: The purpose of oral contraceptives (OCPs) is to prevent pregnancy, not to lose weight. Some women may gain weight on higher dose OCPs vs lower dose or progestin only like DepoProvera. Everyone reacts differently to OCPs, so if you want to lose weight focus on a healthy balanced diet, 6-8 glasses of water daily, and 30-60 minutes of exercise 5 days a week.
