Viral infection: The ear discomfort may be referred pain from a viral throat infection and headache associated with the viral respiratory tract infection. If symptoms worsen or if the pain localizes to the ear after the throat improves, see your physician for evaluation. Meanwhile,gargle with salt water take Tylenol (acetaminophen) for relief.

Both the left side of my ear and throat hurts; when I chew, I experience earache, and when I swallow, both my left ear and throat hurts. When I touched the top left side of my head, even just a light one, it stings and hurt so much. Any thoughts?
Pain and puss coming out of LEFT tonsil, and pressure to LEFT ear. no fever, chills, body aches or any other symptoms. Pain is reduced with NSAIDs.
