Yes.: 2 weeks of diarrhea and bloating is too long for the usual viral gastroenteritis without improvement. Stool studies may need to be done to look for blood, fat, parasites, pathogenic bacteria. If you have taken antibiotics within the last 3 months, it may be Clostridium difficile-related which needs treatment.
