Potential side eff.: After a number of resources were checked a drug to drug interaction though it has not been extensively studied or characterized. But abilify (aripiprazole) seems to increase sedative effects in the presence of DayQuil ingredients while Day Quil ingredients seem to reduce sedative effects. Bottom line: POTENTIAL INTERACTION and it could be significant but no hard proof available. I'd suggest caution using combo

You are more than welcome on the advice. Be safe and do check in with your doctor to get more specifics on your desire to combine an OTC with your prescription. BTW, kudos for asking SOMEONE a bit more in the know aside from the clerk at the grocery store as so many people may do in situations like this!

Yes, you can, but: both medications increase sedation and drowsiness. Always ask your physician before taking an OTC even though a prescription is not needed.
