There is some : evidence that "rebound" gastric acid secretion may occur after stopping Lansoprazole & other PPI's, especially after long-term use. OTC PPI's are for no more than 2 weeks' at a time no more than 3 times/year without consulting a physician. The prescription preparations are to be discontinued under physician supervision. Your physician can determine if you have acid rebound or another disorder.
