Many possibilities: Depending on your size (very thin?), and your position (up or down, leaning left or right), you may be seeing either your carotid artery or your jugular vein. Interpretation of your visible pulse would require a reasonably complete physical exam including your BP, pulse, presence or absence of volume overload, or murmur (aortic insufficiency?). What you see may be normal or not, depending.
