A member asked:

My age is 16 years 9 months. my height is 5'5. will my height increase more than this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe. Maybe not.: Most people reach their maximum height in their late teens. Without nutritional problems or chronic childhood illnesses, height is largely based on genetics and parental heights. Aside from eating right, exercising, sleeping well, and being happy, there's not much a person nor his doctor can do to increase height. One can ask the pediatrician about one's growth chart at a check-up or office visit.
