Yes: Skin changes around the nipple are abnormal. You should go to your doctor promptly and get it examined. In some cases this finding is associated with paget's disease of the breast. This is actually a cancer and needs to be treated.

Yes: Skin changes that occur on one breast but not on the other are more likely to indicate a problem. Pain around the nipple, scaling canindicate padget's ds--type of cancer. But an itchy flaky rash on a present can also indicate an early cancer. Sometimes any nipple must be completely evaluated by a competent breast surgeon by microscope exam.
