Is thyroid disease dangerous and how to know when it's time to check it out?

The time is now: If you're concerned, a simple blood test will let you know if you have thyroid disease. Go to your doctor and get it checked.

Not dangerous: Thyroid disease is very common especially in females.Particularly if there is a family history talk to your dr.there are very simple blood tests to check the thyroid and treatment is very simple too.you are 19--this would be a good time to get checked out.

Thyroid disease: Left untreated both hyperthyroidism (over active) and hypothyroidism (under active) can have severe consequences. Testing for thyroid disease is straight forward and simple. If you are concerned that you may have thyroid disease you should see your Health Care Provider.
