A member asked:

Why does my lacrimal caruncle burn sometimes? it gets red and painful and it's difficult to open my eye. it only lasts some minutes

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Allergic: lacrimal caruncle inflammation is most often due to allergy. Less frequently, it can be due to infection. Try naphcon A drops which will help if it is an allergy. If it doesn't improve, see your doctor, as you may need antibiotic drops. Hope this helps!
