Wrong question: Forgive my frankness. The question is, "How can I manage a chronic, non-lifestyle-related disease that carries such a stigma that it can keep me from getting the job I want, until it remits on its own?" I was able to stop taking medication around age 50. There is no telling when your illness will remit. If your parents won't take you to the doctor, pick up the phone and make the call yourself.

Good luck: Although many consider acne a simple ritual of passage in the teen years, it can and does affect some men and women into their thirties or later.Your best treatment will come from a regular skin care plan you work out with your doc / dermatologist. Yes you could have them at 40.
