See Your Doctor: Seborrheic Dermatitis: chronic inflammatory scalp condition. Dryness, flaking, thick scaly patches, itching all occur in varying degrees. Treatment: daily shampooing/longer lathering, dandruff shampoos (Zinc, Selenium Sulfide, tar, sulfur), avoid hairsprays/pomade, Yeast growth may require anti-fungal shampoos, lotions. Visual inspection is needed for correct diagnosis/treatment. See your doctor.
