How likely is it to.get your period while pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You don't: Bleeding during pregnancy isn't your period, its vaginal bleeding. Heavy bleeding is very concerning for miscarriage or preterm labor depending upon your gestational age. Placenta previa is also a possible cause if heavy. Spotting and light cramps also occur typically for 2-3 days after sex or an office cervical exam in pregnancy as well and is caused by a friable cervix (bleeds easily).
