Yes: As your pregnancy advances your body and the baby develop miles of new capillaries. These are filled with blood. There is no defeating gravity. When you stand blood goes to the legs and feet BP drops in the brain causing your sx. Get up slowly. Sit for a minute before standing. Keep hydrated. Tighten leg muscles before standing. Possibly wear support hose. Congradulations on baby

Dizzy & pregnant: Fluid requirements during pregnancy increase dramatically due to the required increased blood volume that is necessary during a healthy gestation. Caloric requirements increase as well. It would be wise to make sure you are drinking plenty of pure water and changing positions slowly. Anemia during pregnancy is another concern, and your obstetrician is likely following this.
