A member asked:

Is it normal that my deer fly bite is still itchy and raised (with a dark middle) two months after the bite?

Possibly: Signs of a deer fly bite can last quite a long time. They can also wax and wane for a period of time. If the area becomes painful, hot or increasing size it needs to be evaluated as deer flies are know hosts for tularemia - a disease that would require antibiotics.
