Hi i have just had a medical abortion am lying down a lot so not bleeding that much but when i go to the toilet there is a lot of blood when i wipe?

Bleeding is expected: Depending on timing and type of med abortion, heavy bleeding is expected. bleeding is heaviest for 2 to 4 hours after taking the second medication. I assume you took Mifepristone first and then a few to 48 hours later used the Misoprostol. Bleeding can go on intermittently for a couple of weeks. Call the MD you saw if more bleeding tan what was reviewed with you or you're soaking >1 pad/ hr
