Laryngitis: If you did not have Tonsils removed please look in the mirror to see if you have white exudate on the back of the throat/ Enlarged red Tonsils. If YES: you will need antibiotic Treatment for Tonsillitis. If NO: then this may be Viral Infection causing Upper Respiratory tract infection, Rx Warm water, Ginger tea. Advil (ibuprofen) 3/Day to help sooth the Throat.Throat Lozanges may help too.
