Yes: Generally for any long term problems with a UTI you need to be getting sicker. High fever, bleeding, pain in your sides and low back. Not just burning and frequency. That would be a sign that the infection has left the urethra and bladder and worked its way up toward the kidneys. You will be fine. By the way before doctors, women just drank a lot of water and usually the body would heal.
