M58, could norvasc (amlodipine) 10 mg per day cause severe constipation?

Ca2+ channel blocker: Norvasc (amlodipine) may cause constipation at times. This is not an unusual side effect. It may be bad enough to indicate a need to change to something else.

With the medical conditions you list, you may be on several medications which can work together to alter bowel function. Increase fluid intake (64+ oz daily - often warm fluids in am); fiber in diet; consider fiber supplement, i.e. psyllium; EXERCISE daily.
