Blood Test: In general, a positive urine test is reliable, while negatives may not be. In this and any other case that needs a reliable answer, the blood test is far more reliable than the urine tests. If no rush to know, then waiting a month might be reasonable. If there is a need-to-know quickly, then the serum HCG test can be ordered by your doc
