Orthopedic/Hand Doc: Make an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon, ideally one who specializes in hand surgery. He/she will examine your finger, obtain x-rays to determine if there is a fracture (broken bone), and make recommendations re diagnosis, treatment, any further testing needed, and follow-up care. If you think it could be broken get in promptly. Good luck!
