See doctor: It probably will not hurt you but it is not meant to be used long term unless recommended by a doctor. It is best to see a gastroenterologist and find out why you are having the symptoms. Imodium (loperamide) only treats the symptoms, not the cause of the symptoms. If possible you want to find and treat the cause so that you will not have the symptoms.
