Bleeding?: Unless you are taking iron supplements black stools usually are the result of gastrointestinal bleeding, which usually happens as gradual slow bleeding. Unfortunately if this is the case in order to find out what is going on and causing this problem you would need to have tests done. This might be a brief episode but if it persists you need to see someone to have it checked.
