Nasal congestion...: A stuffy and congested nose is not necessarily a sinus infection. Yellow is a normal color for "snot" and also not indicative of sinus infection. If your cold is lingering for more than 2 weeks, you develop high fevers, or are having associated headaches/facial pain then I would see a physician to determine if your sinuses have become infected. Until then - blow your nose :)

Try: Discolored mucous is not necessary a sinus infection. I normally wait a week. Try inhaling steam or taking a hot shower. This can break up the congestion naturally. A Netti pot is a sinus rinse that can wash out your sinuses. Afrin (oxymetazoline) and Sudafed can help for congestion.
