Cervical mucus: Cervical mucus is produced in the vagina all of the time, but is most abundant around the time of ovulation and during pregnancy. It also increases in volume if you have an infection of the cervix. If the amount is increased and it is colored, you may have an infection. Seek medical attention to determine why you have more discharge.
