Not unusual: it takes for many women a few months to restart their period after a baby Some women on Depo-Provera do not even have periods and if they do they are light So the chance that you have not had a period is not unusual. Monitor how you feel and if you have not had one in a few months check with your provider

Depot Provera (medroxyprogesterone): Depot Provera (medroxyprogesterone) a synthetic analogue of Progesterone works by suppressing the normal release of pituitary gonadotropins that results in the normal menstrual cycle. Once the suppressive effect is removed, in time, the normal ovulatory cycle should resume. With resumption of the cycle release of lh & FSH fertility should resume.

Definitely yes: It's perfectly safe with the only drawback being the time to return to fertility. It's given every 3 months but its effects may last up to 10 months for some women. If you like quicker return to fertility, consider ocps, patch, ring, implant, or an iud. Take care.

Regular periods?: The Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) shot is one of the slower to reverse reversible contraceptive methods. When was last shot? If your periods are still irregular then you may not be ovulating yet. If you do have regular cycles, then try to use ovulation kits to help determine what day you ovulate. Have unprotected sex around the day you ovulate - mainly the day before and the day of ovulation. Speak w/ your doctor!

TTC After Depot: Anecdotally, women in your situation report waiting 6-18 months before successfully comceiving, with periods returning in 6-12 months after the last depot shot. Some gynecologist s will put you on the pill to try to regulate the return of your periods. Check with your gynecologist to discuss his proposed strategy for you.

I been on a Depo-Provera shot 3 times my next shot is in april next week how long it takes to have a baby how can I help it leave my system?

Wait and see: If your next shot is due in april, and you want to get pregnant, of course, don't get the next shot. Some women are fertile almost immediately 12 weeks from the last shot. Other women take 3-9 months before they are fertile. I have not heard of any way to make the Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) leave and make a woman fertile faster. You will have to wait and see.
