No: Lymphadenitis is a process of regional lymph nodes becoming secondarily involved in an inflammatory process. When the initiating process for lymph node involvement is a malignant lesion then the process is known as lymph node metastasis.

Lymph + itis: lymph- is lymphatic gland. it is is inflammation. lymphadenitis means inflammation of the lymphatic gland. it is not a part of cancer. when the cancer spread to the lymphatic gland- is called metastatic disease to the lymph nodes. lymphedema -can happen in cancer either related to the cancer of treatment of cancer -i.e. surgery/radiation therapy.
