Non alcoholic fatty liver and getting pregnant, what to do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Talk to your doctors: You should have a liver specialist and an obstetrician involved. Most people with non-alcoholic steatosis are overweight, and losing weight prior to pregnancy would be an important step, so that the weight gain with the pregnancy doesn't compromise your liver further. Some women report that their liver improves with pregnancy, while others have a worsening. Usually stays the same. Good luck!!!
