Basal Ganglia: Basal ganglia are group of structures linked to the Thalamus in the base of the brain, involved in coordination of movements. They consist of Caudate nucleus, Putamen & Globus pallidus. Internal capsule is White matter in the inferomedial part of each cerebral hemisphere, which carries information past the Basal Ganglia, carrying information from Cerebral cortex to Brainstem & Spinal cord.
