There are always: individual differences, particularly in herbal medications, but none of these medications or herbs are known to be particularly toxic to kidneys. Potassum chloride is usually not necessary unless you are on a diuretic. If your blood tests show a low potassium level, your doctor should be looking for a cause and doing additional tests and not just giving you potassium. I
