Scybalous stools: Otherwise characterkzed as "rabbit pellets" are thought to happen due to low dietary fiber, dehydration, and voluntary fecal retention, may be associated with chronic constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, certain constipating medications like narcotics, pyloric stenosis, hypothyroidism, electrolyte problems, and neuroenteric disorders and genetic causes like cystic fibrosis.
