Get a colonscopy: Why was the sigmoidscopy reccomneed. Consider a full colonoscopy if you are concerned about colon cancer,such as having rectal bleeding, strong family history of colon cancer, etc. Although you are young for a screening colonscopy if you have any alarm features please do not stop at sigmoidscopy instead get a colonscopy.

Yes,: The average length of the sigmoid is between 25 cm and 35 cm. Flexible sigmoidoscopes are available in 35 cm and 60 cm lengths. Ask your doctor for more information before the procedure.
