Pre exercise med: cromyln inhaler prior to exercise is usually suggested but usually just using his regular inhaler will work fine. It is importnt that he be as active as his playmates.

Exercise & asthma: Exercise induced asthma is treated with a variety of medications. Fast acting inhaled medications like albuterol can be used before exercise for prevention, or during for treatment. Inhaled steroids or montelukast inhibitors are used in some people for prevention, but they usually have other triggers for their asthma other than just exercising.
