Vocalizations: A pterodactyl is an extinct flying reptile that hasn't been around for millions of years. If you are making sounds that you can't control for 8 years, perhaps they are tics. Tics are spontaneous vocal sounds or motor movements. More complex tics can be a sign of a Tourette's Syndrome. Get an evaluation by a neurologist or psychiatrist. Treatment includes meds and behavioral therapy.
