Symptoms of stroke: symptoms vary for a stroke. if its from hemorrhage can have severe headache. otherwise dizziness ,lose balance , nausea or vomiting , loss of speech or vision problems. depends on the type of stroke. if you have high BP or High cholesterol or diabetes you are at high risk. heart disease is also a factor.early symptoms go to the ER.

Can be many: Like acute onset with difficulties with speech, or inability to move one side of a person's body(like an arm or leg or both on the same side) or a newly asymmetric face! These are probably the most common, but there are others too.

F.A.S.T: F = new onset facial weakness on one side, the mouth or the eye droops (smiling shows this up) A = new onset arm weakness (you cant hold one of your arms up or lift it properly S = speech problems, new slurring or difficulty finding the name for common objects e.g. pen, chairs, keys. T = Urgent treatment in hospital is required. Call ambulance.
