See records with MD: The most common strokes in infancy are due to abnormal blood vessels. The answer to your question will depend on exactly what the problem was then, and what was done. If there are residual vascular abnormalities, it is imortant that your BP be kept normal. You need the records from infancy and then a review of them with your physician

Unpredictable: I have no idea what kind of a stroke you had. Bleeding strokes from a vascular malformation may recur. Thrombotic or clot strokes can also recur, but you have been fine for 22 years, so the best guess is you will probably be fine. Srokes are more common the older you get. Your doctor will be able to follow your BP and other risks for stroke.
