Sort of: Dry eye can cause keratitis, usually inflammation of the epithelial layer on the surface of the eye. That can make the cornea a little thicker, but we normally don't call that swelling. Corneal swelling, called corneal edema, usually occurs from an increase in fluid in the tissue of the cornea.
