Depends on location: If retinal detachment (RD) involves the macula, there is a higher risk vision may not return to what it was prior to RD or 20/20. Surgery for RDs are needed to give any chance for vision back. Sometimes laser is used. If there is a macular hole, Ocriplasmin may help. More info: eyedoc2020@blogspot.com
