Follow it: This is not an especially high ferritin; it may simply be normal for you. Remember it's an acute phase reactant and even minor infections can raise it. There's no reason to get excited now, but get checked again in a few years; there are actually several different genes.

High ferritin: Ferritin is not only an indicator of iron stores in the body, but also an acute phase reactor, which means that anything causing inflammation can elevate it, too. Please do not drink alcohol until it is sorted out.
