Third time in 12 months with superficial blood clot in left arm. dr ordered coagulation panel. what to expect?

Hmm: They are likely just looking for obvious causes if that is what they meant by coagulation panel. How quickly you bleed and genetic causes that can cause you to clot more than others. Good luck

The Unexpected?: I'd expect that your doctor will inform you that the coagulation panel is OK, unless it also tested for possible 'hyper-coagulable states'(no, not like Texas or Massachusetts). What you have is unusual and should be investigated, of course. Did he tell you to apply warm compress and use Motrin or the like? I assume you don't inject drugs or get repetitive trauma or have something unusual like Lupus
