Don't take it.: An unbiased study by Cochrane reviews on the usefulness of over the counter cough and cold meds showed no clear benefit. So why take a chance that it might affect the baby? You can safely use steam,plenty fluids, a Vicks' nasal inhaler to open the nose and help you to blow. You can use cepastat lozenges to numb the tickle in your throat as well.
