Maybe ok: of course taking a pregancy test is allows informative. However it sounds like the plan b worked and the body is flushing things out. Now is a good time to see a doctor and get on birth control pills. That will help stop the bleeding and the doctor can examine you.

It's common: cannot say in your particular case, but the hormonal changes with plan b change the normal cycle and it takes a while for everything to settle back down. In general would settle back to a normal rhythm between 1 to 2 cycles (often 3, but would be a reason for GYN reassurance if more than 1 cycle is off).
