Yes: Double ovulation is an interesting phenomenon. Its most commonly seen as having "twins", "triplets" etc but some people will end one period but also ovulate shortly after. Its not bad to stop taking birth controls all together unless you want withdrawal bleeding from lack of the hormones. I'd advise you to continue your birth control unless you are trying to get pregnant.

Yes/yes: it would be common to have a period after breakthrough bleeding and if this happens often a change in birth control pills might be indicated to get something stronger. If you don't take them during your second active week you are likely to get pregnant. however, it you are trying to get pregnant it is best to stop them during your period.
