What is the status?: Any advice would best come from YOUR cancer doctor, who knows all of the the very important genetic, cellular, and organ details of your cancer. Treatment for cancer these days is very complex, and lots of information goes into recommendations. Without knowing the specifics of your cancer, it's impossible to give you advice. Write down your questions, be specific, and talk to your doctor.

Lung cancer: Your question was well answered by Dr. T but I would like to emphasize that treatment for lung cancer has improved tremendously over the last few years. There are new radiotherapy approaches for limited cancer and targeted therapies or immune modulators for advanced cancer. If this is about you, do not despair, get yourself a good oncology team. Either way, best to you.
