A member asked:

Can you tell me about paragard and autoimmune diseases?

See below: Paragard is a long lasting copper I.U.D. Generally it is well tolerated in autoimmune diseases. However, some of the drugs used to treat autoimmune diseases increase the prevalence of infections. This is a question that needs to be addressed to the OB-GYN by the doctor prescribing the medications.

See details: I am not sure what you are asking. Iuds such as paragard do not cause autoimmune diseases or make preexisting ones worse.
