Confused: A bit confusing that your last menstrual period was August 26, 2014. That is today. It would be indeed to early to tell if you are pregnant.

No: Home pregnancy tests can show positive as early as 3-4 days after implantation. Implantation generally occurs 6-12 days after ovulation. So if the egg was fertilized right at ovulation and you used the most sensitive home test it could be positive at 9 days. On average it is 13-14 days after fertilization/ovulation when it is positive.

You mean July 26?: Considering today is August 25, 2014, I think you must have meant JULY 26, 2014! (or I'm in a time warp of some sort!). Anyways, I would usually recommend waiting at least a week after a missed period before taking a pregnancy test. Also, your test will be more accurate if you use the first urine of the day, since it will be the most concentrated.

Pregnancy test: A home urine pregnancy test won't turn positive until 10-14 days after conception. Using the 1st urine of the morning will concentrate the beta-HCG hormone in the urine.

Maybe not: Some over the counter tests say they are accurate this early, when the test is done properly. However 7 days after a missed period is even more likely to give reliable results. If you think you may be pregnant, then no alcohol, drugs, meds (except prenatal vitamins and folate), and smoking till you are sure.
