? GERD: Could be gastroesophogeal reflux.Try to eating smaller meals. Avoid caffeine, spicy/acidic foods, alcohol, & cigarette smoking. Wear loose fitting clothing & lose weight if you are overweight. Medications like Nexium (esomeprazole) or Previcid might help. I'd discuss it with your physician.

Gastroparesis?: Gastroparesis is delayed emptying of stomach. This is sometimes acquired after presumed viral infection or can be related to diabetes mellitus. Some other neurologic diseases such as dystrophy and cerebral palsy. I do not know definite association with sickle cell disase. Nuclear medicine gastric emptying test can confirm emptying problem. Should see physician if persists for evaluation.
