Category B drug: No drug is category a for pregnancy since no study is ever under taken to see if a pregnant women can take it safely.Therefore the relatively safest drug would be category b.Which generally means that it has been tried in animals without any significant side effects.Also over the years pregnant women may have taken it with no adverse reactions.In the 1st 3 months it is better to use Claritin (loratadine) , ctm.
