Is it safe to take xyzal (levocetirizine) with copd?

Should be: Xyzal or levocetirizine is a newer antihistamine. Often the labels indicate to use caution with lung disease as theoretically antihistamines (especially the older ones) may cause dryness of the airways. This really is not as much an issue with the newer antihistamines.

With caution: Antihistamines are generally safe with copd, but sometimes they can make mucus thicker and more difficult to cough out. This can cause worse work of breathing for a few patients.
